Lulubugs on "Overwhelmed - what should I do?"

I posted a thread earlier but I think I was a bit too emotional and not asking practical questions - I'd really appreciate any advice.

Moved into 4 bedroom house last week with bed bugs in at least one of the bedrooms, 100% confirmed, PCO came round last Thursday and did first chemical treatment (on the whole house). He said that there was 'high activity' (the mattress and divan were covered with fecal stains and I saw 3 dead and 1 alive bug within 30 seconds of inspecting the mattress). I dried all my clothes on high for 30 mins to kill anything that may have got into them in the hour they were in the wardrobe. (I took everything out as soon as I found out).

The four of us currently have all of our possessions downstairs in the lounge where there is no evidence of bedbugs (yet - potential signs of fecal staining but not had it confirmed - could just be marks/mould or similar) . I've had a new bed delivered today and been advised to keep the divan base downstairs in lounge, but move the mattress up to the infested room and keep the plastic wrapping on.

I'm so hesitant to sleep in this room because it's not like it's 'my' room - I feel like I'm heading into the lion's den. I have no idea how many bugs are still alive/how much I may be bitten. So far I have been sleeping in a friend's bed but now with the new bed delivery I feel like I should as I know treatment may not be effective if I don't sleep there.

Is there any way I could perhaps make a CO2 device (with yeast and sugar) to draw the bugs out, rather than using me as bait? I can't buy any fancy equipment as the landlord is paying for everything (as the infestation was there when we moved. Or realistically would it just be better to sleep on a plastic-wrapped mattress on the floor?

Thanks so much for any advice/reassurance. I keep flipping from being rational and practical, to being convinced I'm going to be living like this forever.
