I live in New England and have extremely sensitive skin. I have been walking outside the last couple of weeks and have gotten these lovely looking bites on my leg. I went to a NP at my law school and had them check them out and they suggested bed bugs or mosquito bites, but most likely mosquitos they said. I had about 13 throughout my legs, but they stopped coming. I then went out this weekend walking on Saturday, woke up with five on my arm (but only one arm). They are so itchy, but seem to be going down in size. I also randomly was sitting on the couch and had one on my neck last night. I went to the doctor's today and she looked at them and said there is usually an insert in the bite and that these look like hives. I checked my entire room/mattress (which is one 1.5 years old). These bites started two weeks ago, but I came back from Italy on September 6, so the bites were one month after. I slept with white sheets and no blood stains etc. Am I crazy to think that I have bed bugs if the doctor says no that they are hives, especially if I don't see any signs of bed bugs? not to mention I cleaned all of my stuff and yet woke up with them. I seem to notice them right after the shower.
