Ok... Here I go again. Here is my timeline. Noticed bites 10-14 days ago. K-9 came, confirmed exposure. K-9 handler said whatever it is, it's small, and he recommended self treatment. Found no bugs, stains, just one cast skin. What set me off, other than the bites, was an inch long blood smear on the sheets- I was advised that I may have rolled over and killed/squished a bug. Anyhow, decided to have PCO come and treat that same day. PCO came and sprayed 4 days ago. He did not see any bugs either. Today I found, in broad daylight, a nymph (pretty sure it is, I've cross referenced against numerous photos). It was live. I put it in a jar and still have it.
All professionals told me that because of the lack of evidence, I probably brought in a hitchhiker. So, I have a few questions... Is it possible that this nymph is "the one"? Is it possible that this lone bug bit me 15 times? If I had PCO treatment 4 days ago, how has a live bug survived?
Also, my PCO said that the materials have 90 day residual. Is that even possible?
Anyhow, I'm (probably falsely) hoping that since I haven't been bitten in a couple weeks, and that I found "the one", that my nightmare is over.
