I've spent a thousand hours online at this point, and have being obsessively combing through my bedroom looking for signs, and have set C02 traps (to no avail so far, but I'm guessing that's more likely user error), and am planning to just pay for a canine inspection to get the answer.
That said, though obviously it's possible - perhaps even likely - I'm wondering what others' experiences might be in a similar situation:
Went to a friend's house on september 13 from around 1p to 4p, and hung out on her couch for three hours. Came home. No big deal. Then, about three weeks later, she said she found bedbugs on her couch (the one I had camped on for hours!), and mentioned that she should've thought twice when TWO OF HER NEIGHBORS REPORTED HAVING THEM (i'd like to strangle her).
Anyway, she threw out all her stuff and has been treating and doing her thing, and just moved into a new place, and so she's working on winning the war. But my question is, what are the odds I picked them up? They seem high, hence my concern, but I'm just wondering how many others have carried them back from someone else's place.
Of note, though I've seen no signs of infestation so far, it has only been two months. Further, I found blood spots on the sheets the other morning that i KNOW weren't there the night before. And I'm fairly sure I just found fecal stains on the ceiling. So it seems pretty likely I'm screwed - hence the canine inspection to be sure, and we'll heat treat without question - but again, wondering of others' experiences, and hoping to benefit from your expertise.
Thanks in advance for any counsel you can provide.
