I've posted on here before, but thought I would do a new post as we have some new bites :(. Around November 3-4th I noticed 4 bites on my stomach My husband had noticed about two bites on his side about a week earlier, and one new bite on his waist. I immediately freak out, order encasements, and inspect. I found a shell of a skin in the box spring, and we had a PCO from a reputable source (mentioned on this site before as a good PCO for the Chicago area) come inspect our mattress, boxspring, surrounding area and the couch in our living room. He found no evidence of bed begs, and look at the shed skin (among other various bugs I had found which I know now clearly were bed bugs) and advised it was not a bed bug. I had posted a pic to this site earlier, and was told a clear image was needed, but unfortunately I had thrown out the bug. The inspector came on a Thursday.
We put on encasements and climb-ups. That following Saturday, I noticed a itchy spot on my foot, but it looked a little different than before. I continue to freak out and no doubt drive my husband insane- I wash the sheets and dry on hot all bedding. Still no evidence in the Climb ups or on the encasements. We went out of town for Thanksgiving (Nov 22-Nov 29). We come back 11/29, nothing in the Climbups. I finally think all may be well, but then last night my husband starts to itch his arm. When we woke up this morning, he now has 4 bites on his upperforearm. I haven't had any bites like my initial one for a while- just some skin reactions which I try not to freak out about as they do not look like bites.
I am at a loss as to what to do at this point. My husband doesn't want to bring in another PCO as we have no evidence, and our condo association will likely agree. I am going insane just thinking about all this, and plan to examine the bed more tonight. Any suggestions? Need some peace of mind!
