collegegirl123 on "Is it possible my bed bugs are gone (condensed version)"

I just posted a novel about my situation, but am anxious for feedback so hopefully a short summary will get some comments quicker..
Pretty much got a headboard with bed bugs, had it for 2 days, got bit all over, figured out there were bed bugs on the headboard and threw it out. Washed all my sheets, vacuumed and cleaned but still too scared to sleep. called a profession to inspect and he didnt find a single trace of a bug (no bugs eggs droppings or skin), even after seeing my bites he didn't believe i had bed bugs until i walked outside to the dumpster to show him the headboard.. he told me since bedbugs were in my house i needed a full extermination even though he didn't find a single trace.. it would cost $1200 which i can't afford. Since then I have bought bed bug killer and sprayed it all over my room and carpet (kills on contact,even though i haven't seen bugs) and moved my bed and nightstand away from the wall and have not seen a single trace of bugs. I know its highly unlikely that all the bugs are gone but i can't afford a professional extermination. Thoughts? Comments? any good products that work even when you can't actually see bugs or eggs? please help !!!
