I'm freaking out...what are the chances someone would bring them home with them on their clothes just from sitting on the couch? My daughter's father will probably be coming to visit soon and I'm not supposed to mention anything to anyone about the problem until we have confirmed there is a problem but I'm almost positive it's bed bugs but the only real evidence I have is a few small blood spots/smears on my sheets and I've also been vacuuming the beds everyday and find tiny yellow & black specks. I do find it weird that only I'm the one getting bit although my daughter has once in three spots and we share a room. No other family members have noticed anything and there is another bedroom right next to ours. I also think it's weird that my old mattress had zero signs of infestation, could they be somewhere else, like the night table or dresser? Isn't the mattress/bed the preferable place? I'm sorry- I'm freaking out and just looking up all the information I can and I don't want to go to sleep.
