SODABOTTLEBB on "some important questions--help?"

Me again--counting down to the PCO's visit on Monday, bouncing from optimistic to crushed and panicked.

I will be getting some phone counselling starting Tuesday night, and we have arrangements to keep our reptiles out of the house for a month or so til we're sure this is over.

I have a few questions though:
Can eggs stick to a naked body? If I sleep naked, am I safe to just go get dressed from our dryer-treated clothes before going out to a family's house? Or should I be showering every single day before I go anywhere?

Should we be warning our neighbors? We live in a semi-detached dwelling that is only 8 years old, with a concrete firewall. The only dog alert spot was a 5 foot section of wall on the outside section of the house--not the side touching them. I kinda want to warn them, so there's no risk of starting a cyclical infestation (especially if our bugs somehow came from them...) but is there any precedent that they could sue us or force us to pay for their treatment if they do get them? We're in Nova Scotia if that helps.

Although treatment has not started, we have seen only one bug, and a few fecal spots near the one bug. No other bugs, eggs, fecal, skins, or any signs of bites.

I have almost convinced my wife to let me spend the $1000 on a packtite closet, I think she's seen the huge mental health damage this has done to me and that might give me peace of mind... My
Main concern is books. There is a book shelf that was against the wall the dog alerted too, and two other book shelves in the house. The PCO said books are usually fine unless the infestation is more severe--is this trustworthy?

What about bins and boxes of things like paints and markers? I probably have $300+ worth of art markers that I wouldn't trust in a packtite (alcohol based ink), should a wipe down with alcohol be OK to treat these items?

Can someone confirm if alcohol/murphy's mixture contact killer will kill eggs? I'm more concerned about the threat I can't see...
