rd87 on "Possible bedbug? [a: bed bug or closely related]"

2 weeks ago my children and I moved into a townhouse. Within a few days two of my daughters had raised welts on their arms and legs. I chalked it up to the new detergent I was using. Then last night my daughter got out of the bath and said she found a bug floating in the water and it came out of her hair. I grabbed the bug thinking it was head lice but after a Google search realized it might be bed bugs. I searched their beds and found several bugs that look like the one in this picture. I'm very upset because I'm a single mom going through a divorce and can't afford to have an exterminator come in and treat and after reading realize the adjoining apartments might be infested as well. Am I fighting an uphill battle here? Will my landlord be responsible? We live in Michigan. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
