Sorry for this long post. Seeking any thoughts on my ordeal. A few days after a trip to Vegas in mud-October, I had 2 red pimple looking like marks on my wrist. Then a few more random (not clustered) pimple/pin prick looking marks in the next weeks on my hand and arm. Freaked out with this and after finding a couple of blood specks on sheets (though admittedly had scratches from tearing up the bed daily, which could have been the cause). I had a k9 inspection in mid November, from a very reputable inspector with no alerts. I've since had some random similar looking marks on neck, arms, and foot. Allergist thought looked like bites (I had taken pics.) but could also be from scratching. Allergist blames it on cat, who sleeps on my bed. I know I'm allergic and I do get hives from the cat. Also have swelling under my eye, from cat according to allergist. I have very sensitive skin and allergies, and perhaps just never paid attention to every mark or bump until this scare. No fecal stains, bugs or blood spots. If it was bed bugs, wouldn't there be evidence by now? No one eke in the house - kids or husband are having any issues. (He thinks I'm nuts.) Cat cleared for fleas or parasites- she's slso been scratching. Haven't seen carpet beetles in the area, (did see one adult about a month or 2 ago on carpet), but did have an immediate spotty rash reaction where I touched bottom of plastic box spring to inspect. Also, while inspecting a month ago, opened up sleep number bed and discovered mold! Just received replacement parts- as apparently this was an issue with mattresses made before 2005. Maybe that's my issue?! Will know soon. Bottom line...I'm very frustrated- what could it be?
