I would really like to hear some success stories with using Diatomaceious Earth and also any advice.
I have read and watched videos but comes up with different approaches and facts. Some people say use it liberally, other say use a light dusting. Also how long do endure bites and sleepless nights till it works? I read up to two weeks. Please share your experience. Below is some of our background regarding our 'fight' for the last eight weeks. If this DE doesn't work we are tent-gassing the house. Already spent up to 3K on this experience and gassing with cost 2,700.00 (live in Silicon Valley, so everything is expensive here). We have now gone broke due to bedbugs! Still getting bit in one bed every couple of nights with a few bites.

Here is what we have done. Bugs have only few been found in bedrooms in bed.

1. Guy came to spray the entire house with Cimi-Shield.
2. Encased bed
3. removed and heat treated head boards
4. Put bed on 'lights-out' bb monitors on each leg of beds
5. Washed all clothes, linens etc.. bagged all.
6. began a 'safe zone' in bed, with stripping down clothing and keeping clean PJs in bed. Nothing else in bed and no lounging in bed.
7. Vacuum the carpets once or twice per week.
8. Spread DE powered in all bedroom furniture, picture frames, baseboards, light sockets, light switches, closets etc...
9. Thorough purging of clutter/storage in closet, vacuumed, treated with DE powder, all stuff put in clear plastic tubs.
10. all beds linens/blankets/pillows are laundered and/or run through dryer twice a week.
11 vacuumed and sprayed both cars with enzymatic spray.
