In efforts to create an outdoor space to read and relax, I purchased a twin mattress and box spring from Craigslist that was stated to be new but later after I got it home, found a return label on the plastic wrap. I was worried about the potential of bedbugs and over the last month have done a lot of reading and research conducted several thourough searches on them, checking all seams, under and around tags, ect. They haven't left the garage at all and no spots, bugs, or any evidence was found anywhere. I even called our exterminator and he said if I couldn't find them they're probably not there.
Today I conducted a final thourough sweep of the mattress and (leaving the box spring) took it to the porch and dressed it. I spent some time there then left but when I returned later that afternoon I found these black spots.

Those were not there when I put the sheet on. I bought the sheets last night, this was their first time being opened. I didn't feel myself getting bitten, but from what I understand you won't feel it, and I don't see any marks on my feet (where the spots were) either, but marks don't appear for a few days, right?
Are these bedbug spots?? And what do I do if they are? The bed frame is pulled away from the house. Will they try to migrate inside for warmer weather? Please help! Thank you!
