My interceptors have been clear for 3 months now. I have been doing a weekly check on my bedframe. One of the bedframes is black metal and hence its impossible to detect fecal, however my 3 year old who welts really bad when bit has and sleeps on that bed has not had any. The other bed has wooden slats that remain clear and some metal parts that are also clear (no fecals)
I also had a very thin layer of Cimexa just outside and around the interceptors and I also have Cimexa on the bed frame. I had put Cimexa because I had caught a bed bug three weeks after putting the interceptors wandering around the interceptor. My take was that the bug was simply avoiding the interceptor and going around it, hence if I put cimexa, they will touch it and dry.
Because I had found the bug avoiding interceptor, I am low in confidence that interceptors will detect bugs since they will continue avoiding it. Hence even after 3 months I feel that the empty interceptors are not necessarily a positive sign.
DO interceptors really work? Should I consider myself clear and start living a normal life
