KeepingALevelHead on "Is this an egg? Experts needed!"

Hi experts-
I am at a hotel and this little orange tiny round thing was in the bathroom. I believe that it's too round and too orange to be anything suspicious (and unstuck in the open on the bathroom floor), but traveling always puts me at high alert. Just looking for a confirmation that it's nothing bed bug related. As an aside, is it anything insect related at all?
