Last week i bought a used table from a flea market. I know it was stupid :(. But i was thinking - its just wood! it will be fine! :(
Two nights ago I woke up covered in bites. I sleep with the window open so i thought maybe something crawled in (even though its winter)? I'm one of those people who always gets bitten by bugs if they are around at all so i tried not to panic.
This morning I woke up and found one in my bed :0 :'( I caught in a ziploc bag and put it in the freezer b.c I know POCs like to see "proof" when they inspect. I thought of the table immediately and got out my handheld steamer to steam it and found two more :(.
I looks like it may have eggs in one of the cracks. I sprayed it with Raid Bed Bug.
Tomorrow i need to travel for work (I can't cancel) and will be out most of the week. So the earliest i'll have an inspection is mid to late next week.
Do I throw out the table since its pretty clearly the originating source?
Should I start spraying bagging clothing now (knowing that I will be traveling back and forth for the next couple of weeks)?
I know some people have cautioned not to clean/stream/spray anything before treatment but i'd like to sleep as well i can tonight and i feel like starting the killing process would make me feel better.
