Hi all,
It's my last night in my 'student' accommodation before I spend two weeks in hotels with my boyfriend and then move into my new apartment. Of course, with all this moving around, the anxiety of picking up or transporting bedbugs is heightened.
Since I've been here I've had quite few freak outs for pretty much no reason at all. Earlier this evening while packing I noticed some blood spots on my pillow. Rather than 'freak out' again I've decided to break this down.. I also read this http://bedbugger.com/forum/topic/new-blood-spots-on-sheets-primer
Please, if anyone has any insight/experience and can confirm or correct my thoughts I would really, really appreciate it. It might help others too.
Reasons the stains are NOT bed bug related and I should chill out
1. No bites (but some itchy skin which I have attributed to heat rash)
2. No conclusive fecal matter
3. No sightings of bugs at all
4. There was some blood in my ear this morning which could be the cause of the spots, but doesn't explain how they were on the pillow but not the pillowcase (could a bug have bitten me inside the ear?)
5. The blood spots seem too large to have come from bed bugs (this might be wrong) and they're too red to be a processed meal.
Reasons the stains ARE bed bug related
1. The stains are mostly on the pillow - not the pillow case where I rest my head.
Odd! Surely if I had a nose/ear bleed the blood would be on the pillow case and seep though onto the pillow? Could it be that a creep crawly took my blood, crawled under the case onto the pillow, and THEN got squashed? (but then wouldn't the bug still be there - and surely there wouldn't be four unlucky bugs at the same time?)
2. I feel certain I am going to get bed bugs and I cannot shake the feeling. It's debilitating. I should be looking forward to my break with my boyfriend but I'm dreading it for fear of giving them to him or tracking them around. (Sorry, that was not a logical reason but now I'm feeling silly for writing this).
