For a few weeks I have had bites on and off. Last set of bites were on my (butt) sorry to be so frank. And the bites were in a zigzag pattern of 5.
That was last Wednesday…..It's now Saturday and I have NOT gotten any new bites- on day ten here.
So my question is this: I am confused that the bites I have resemble bedbugs and are in the pattern they seem to bite in- zig zag and linear. I AM NOT FINDING SIGNS IN MY HOME THOUGH- YET ATLEAST AND HOPEFULLY, WON'T.
I sleep with my son and he does not have any bites. My son is three ( not sure if they would bite him or if he would react?)
So I'm wondering IF they are bedbug bites could I potentially be getting them at work? Or at the hospital I go to for group counseling? I thought I may be getting them in the waiting room or possibly on when I do individual therapy and sit on the couch? It's a major hospital in a very poor area.
Or at work when I put the baby I watch to sleep and I ( sometimes) will lay next to him on the parents bed to get him to sleep- ( that's where he takes naps) They also have a Cat? Maybe fleas? But why the zigzag pattern? And they look more like bedbug bites?
Otherwise I just am stumped.
I also spend lots of times outdoors- so maybe chiggers? But again they DO LOOK MORE LIKE BEDBUG BITES TO ME.
What would you recommend? Can I KNOW I am in the clear if I don't get any more bites for the next few days since I'm now on day ten? The bites I did previously get are still visible- I know they are definitely not mosquito. They seem to be leaving scarring. I should mention: I have NOT been to work since last Wednesday and have NOT been to the hospital for counseling in the past week…..and no more NEW BITES.
But could the bites be bedbugs biting in either of these locations during the day?
Could I potentially have bedbugs and the haven't bitten me in close to ten days now?
Thanks for your help, I haven't been able to sleep soundly and I'm a single mom- this whole scare is driving me crazy and making me terribly paranoid and fearful.
