My children and I have to travel at the beginning of next month.
I have watched the video on how to inspect a hotel room and used that when we travelled last month.
As I was unsure if we have any BB at my home (unidentified bites etc. but cleared by PCO 2x before travelling), we packed out of the dryer into backpacks out of the dryer, only took new books and toys in ziplocs, and wiped down all phones and ipads with alcohol before going.
But I want to make sure we do not pick any up on our trip.
So other than the room inspection, is there any other precautions I need to take? If BB are found in hotel room, we are unable to switch to a different hotel, as this is a medical trip and being paid for by an agency. I know we can ask to switch rooms, floors, etc.
Also, for charging electronics, I was thinking of making charging stations out of ziplocs with duct tape around where I would put the cord through the bag and charging electronics in the bags? Am I being crazy? This whole scare has been really draining and I am really paranoid of bringing any hitchhikers home.
I also know to bag dirty clothes after wearing and launder as soon as we get home.
