TSPiggy on "How do you handle conflicting information?"

First, I apologize for asking so many questions here, and appreciate all your responses. I'm feeling really low this morning after a sleepless night and wanted to throw out some questions I've never had answered to my satisfaction because of conflicting information:

1) PCO has done two treatments (second one was three days ago). Prep involved laundering/drying all fabrics, thorough vacuuming and removal of wall outlet plates, all of which we did. He said treatment of non-laundered items wasn't necessary. Yet I've seen post after post here about treating non-laundry items with Packtites, Vikane, etc as part of their prep. I suppose I should follow my PCO's advice but can't help wondering if I should be treating our stuff. We have seven rooms, not necessarily cluttered but still quite full, even after purging. The thought of treating it all is overwhelming to my already overtaxed mind. I can see having to treat everything in our daughter's room because her bed was ground zero but the rest of the house?

2) Based on the first appearance of our daughter's itchy welts on her arms and feet we've had BB's since early February. Because BB's never occurred to either of us we never investigated. By the time she mentioned seeing bugs in her bed that only came out at night it was April 25th...ample time for a major infestation to set in. But in that entire time we never saw a single live bug, even in her room. I didn't see bugs until the day she told me about them and I searched her bed to confirm. We started seeing live and dead bugs in other rooms after the first treatment. Yesterday, two days after the second treatment, we killed three live bugs in our daughter's room and a small one on my desk crawling towards my arm. Why would we see bugs after treatment, especially in other parts of the house, when we didn't see ANY during the height of the infestation?

3) Electronics...after seeing that little bug on my desk yesterday I worried for the first time about my laptop. The bug on my desk approached from the back of the desk, not from my laptop. My PCO tells me that electronics seldom become infested because they're not really ideal places for bugs to harbor. But it's a huge question mark, especially because our daughter had her laptop on her bed constantly and has been leaving it in the living room ever since she abandoned her room when we discovered the infestation. My question isn't so much whether electronics can become infested, it's how I confirm if they're infested. I've seen plenty of information here and elsewhere online about how to treat electronics but nothing that tells me how to confirm an infestation. Do I simply assume our laptops, especially our daughter's, are infested and treat accordingly?
