Gemrising on "Bagless Vacuum Question"

So, I have been using a bagless vacuum. I empty it immediately and dispose of the contents. Would it be a good idea to put a bit of DE Powder in the canister before each use? Would that matter? Should I spray it down it alcohol between uses?
