My son started getting bitten about two months ago. Around two bites per night for one week. PCO (also a professional entomologist) said no bedbugs so no treatment, he however found a lot of fungus beetles (and therefore mold in our bedrooms) and psocid and the house was treated for that. Treatment was not fully successful and we still have some psocid and fungus beetle hanging around mostly in the bedrooms.
With the first PCO and another one, I have had a total of four negative inspections.
I live in Asia, we don’t have any K9 option here. My family keeps telling me the bbs are in my head but we (my son and I) are still getting bitten from time to time.
Not all the bites look similar though: I have had red tiny dots as well as big welts with a puncture point in the centre. I know bites do not make a case but I am convinced we have bedbugs, I have ruling out every other possibilities (mosquitoes, no see-ums, dust mites…we have them definitely but we react differently to these)
I inspect beds, headboards, mattresses etc. almost everyday and still no signs.
Going on two months and still no signs of live bug, fecal or cast skins. Thoughts?
