I've posted several questions over the past few days and have received no responses. I understand that other posters' questions take priority over mine but they've been legit questions that I would have appreciated being answered.
In any case, can someone please at least answer this one:
Yesterday my daughter brought in a bag of sneakers that had been in her room. 99% of our stuff that needed to be treated and sealed was done before our first treatment but there are still a couple of sealed bags in the garage that haven't been treated yet, including this particular bag of sneakers. She didn't know, and she didn't ask before bringing the bag into the living room and tearing it open to look for a particular pair of sneakers she wanted to wear. I walked in on her rifling through the bag and told her that those hadn't been treated yet. We quickly sealed the bag inside another one and took it back out to the garage.
The sneakers had been in a pile on the floor in a corner of my daughter's room across from her bed before we discovered the infestation in her bed. Because the infestation was so bad I simply made the assumption that everything in her room was infested but in truth I have no idea if these sneakers were. The bag had only been open for a couple of minutes, but I know that's plenty of time for any bugs to escape.
What is the likelihood that we've just been reinfested, and if we have, what can I do now to keep it to a minimum? Should I just call the PCO in for a fifth treatment as a precaution? I can't believe this is happening after being so close to the end.
