Conwny on "What To Do? Please Help!"

I am just at my wits end. All day long I've felt my life is basically over. I just moved into my own apartment not even a week ago. I broke up with my boyfriend and it's been an incredibly tough process. I was just starting to feel at home in my apartment when last night I felt a bug crawling on me. I squeezed it and put it in a plastic baggy. I googled what a bed bug looked like, and bingo! I couldn't get back to sleep for hours. Today, my mom and I took it to two different pest control places in town and they both ID'd it as a bed bug. We went back to my apartment and checked my bed-it's actually a friend's bed I bought, so used 😳 We didn't see anything that could be definitely BB feces or droppings. My sheets show no sign of blood spots and I've yet to present with bites. We then inspected my couch (bought used at the Salvation Army-what a way to learn my lesson with that one). It was hard to get into the nooks and crannies, but I found one shell or shedded exoskeleton. We are now surmising my new roommates came with the couch. We bagged up my bedding, and some toiletries and we went back to my parents' house. Tomorrow we are removing the couch and taking it to the dump. I am staying with my parents' until we think they are gone (but I'm learning now we won't know unless they come out to feed on a host). Here are my concerns/questions::
I simply cannot afford the heat treatment costing $800 to begin with or the possible numerous pesticide spray treatments. I also am concerned about the health risk with that!
Landlord doesn't seem too concerned/said I can get out of lease if I want. She won't be helping pay and I don't think she plans on alerting other tenants (it's a fourplex). Shouldn't they know? They will treat me like a damn leper and hate me for bringing bed bugs.
I am worried we have now introduced BBs into my parents' house-we are drying/washing clothes and bedding here as I have to pay for the onsite laundry. I've brought with me my purse, iPad, and some toiletries. Did my shoes bring them?
My mom bought some Bed Bug Bully online. Our plan is to get rid of couch, vacuum thoroughly, spray Bed Bug Bully, heat dry pillows, cover mattress and box spring with zipper covers, and sprinkle diatomaceous earth around bed. Does this seem thorough enough?
Is it possible I don't have that many bed bugs given the short time frame I've been in the apartment and had the couch? Should I pay for an inspection? I'm thinking of breaking my lease, boxing up all my belongings and putting them in storage and only bringing my clothes and a few belongings to my parents'. Is this not wise? Please help?
