I am currently in a hotel room, and have been here for 4-5 days. Upon checkin and inspection I noticed some tiny brown particles!flecks under a bunkbed mattress that I wiped up with a Clorox wipe. Nothing was stuck to the mattress or wood underneath and turned the wipe brown/yellow. I took a magnified picture magnified to 5x with an app on my phone. There were no stains on either mattress or any other mattress in room and no other signs...except my husband found a dead bug on side of mattress but said it looked like an ant...it was very wispy when I looked at it myself. Other than 2 bites my older son has on his shoulder that he noticed on the beach after being there all day as well as day before that, no one else has a bite mark on them and he honestly could have been bitten at the beach. I still can't shake that panic feeling that this stuff under mattress was bed bug related. Here is the image:
