We had a BB infestation in son's (upstairs) bedroom 2 months ago. PCO looked in all other bedrooms and (downstairs) living room couches and found no signs, but we still had all bedrooms and living room heat treated.
Bedrooms also got follow up sprays, we saw a few straggler nymphs, over the next few weeks, and thought we were in the clear, BUT...
Then my son found a live adult female just outside his bedroom (on the frame of my bedroom door), and now I'm back in full freak-out mode. PCO came back and sprayed all bedrooms again. We now have climbups on every bed, and a few volcanoes in my son's room and my room.
I surely now know how to obsessively check a bed for BB activity, but my paranoia has now led me to wonder if any of the adult females pals might have hitchhiked downstairs to the living room.
I have no idea how to thoroughly check our couches. They are not sofa beds with flip out mattresses, just big heavy fabric couches in a brownish earth tone color.
I don't see any obvious stains. I take the cushions off and look under there, but I'm only finding bits of popcorn and other shit the kids eat while they watch TV. Should I flip the couches over and actually look at the underside? Check the carpets below? Put volcanoes under there? To the best of my knowledge, nobody is getting bitten, but that doesn't quell my crazy.
