A little background: I had bedbugs about 5 years ago. Ever since, I've been crazy paranoid about bringing them home again. My husband and I went on vacation recently and were VERY careful. I've found some small black spots on my new sheets, but the general consensus is that they don't look like bed bug feces. Wonderful!
But this evening, I saw a very small bug in my bed. Not sure what it was, but it looked similar to a bedbug... Though not quite. But then again, I'm no expert, it's been years since I've had them, so I'll post some pictures for good measure.

This was the best I could do as far as images went- it was still alive and scurrying. I had nothing to use in order to show you scale, so the best I can describe this is that it was so tiny, it was about 1/8th the size of the end of an eraser on a pencil. It probably could have fit on the tip of a pencil, that's how small it was.
I did kill it after I took those photos. No blood came out of it or anything like that. It looks like some kind of beetle to me, but... Well, better safe than sorry. I think the image where the bug is turned to the side may be the most helpful, you can really see what shape it was in that image. Again, it doesn't LOOK quite like a bed bug to me... But I want to be sure.
THANK YOU!
