So - I may have posted a bug like this before and if so I really apologize but I can't find the post.
Here is very quick background that is integral in the ID:
> My wife was cooking, I saw what looked like a suspicious shaped white-ish small bug under the paper towels on the granite countertop - I went to scoop it up with a knife and OF COURSE it falls behind the granite - was it a bug, a seed, a food fragment, I'll never know now...
> Cut to yesterday, getting a new roll of paper towels out of the garage, there's a small white cocoon, shell like item stuck to the new roll, I peel it off, i see ridges, I freak out. I start to move to get something to put it in and it blows out of my hand... never to be seen again... unreal, just unreal.
> So, in my warped mind we had bedbugs in the garage that moved into the paper towels and we brought one in that went behind the counter. I can't stope thinking about this and the fact that I screwed up so royally by not retaining either sample.
> Now, while spending WAY too much time secretly searching the kitchen floor for that shell/cocoon thing (to no avail), I find several tiny white bugs with ridges in the cracks of the floor. I know ridges are not solely indicative of BB's but they are key identifiers for my lay eye.
I know these bugs are not BB-related but I am trying to determine what they are so that I can see if they might be the source of the now lost shell on the paper towels. I checked all over the garage including throughly searching that bag of paper towels and see nothing else - that bag has moved from the floor to the top of the fridge and other places - the garage is full of outdoor bugs so I am hoping.
