My parents have had an infestation for months now, maybe like four or five or so... They took care of the bugs and they were gone for a little while, but then they came back. It's not nearly as bad, but I'm asking because I stayed with them during the summer but I've also got my own apartment.
I have a few questions...
1. While the guy who came to spray our house said there were no bed bugs in my room whenever he sprayed my parents house, I did sleep on the couch for some time (I didn't really know at the time there were BB bugs on the couch I was sleeping in, we know now and treat for it) and would wake up with bites. This was around May-ish, so I wasn't in my apartment too often... I am wondering if it was possible I could have carried them to my apartment? It's September now and I still don't see any signs of them in MY apartment at least. No bed bug tracks, no eggs, no shedding or poop... Nothing on my bed at least.
2. Can the way your body react to bed bug bites change? I'm wondering this because I know how my body reacts to the bites (welts, itching, but nothing really else), but I've got these rashes that aren't consistent at ALL with my typical BB bites I had gotten at my parents house. Plus, my 'rash' only shows up underneath my clothes, so I have a feeling that they're not BB bites... But I'm still wondering if an expert would be able to give me insight.
How do you think my chances look?
Can I stop being so paranoid that I might have transmitted them from my parents house to my apartment? I still visit once a week or so, and try to get to a laundromat ASAP once I'm back at my apartment and put the clothes I wore at my parents house through the dryer on high for at least half an hour... But I'm still slightly paranoid. It sucks so bad. As you can tell, I'm a little bit obsessive...
