How reliable and foolproof are they? I haven't found a single bug in one yet, however, last night, I peeked under my couch and noticed a bug (that I later killed and saved). It was a crazy-thin female, which makes me think it hadn't been feeding, but does that mean it just hasn't tried to leave the couch? Is that normal?
I'm pretty sure that the couch is my "harborage" site, since five of the six bugs I found were on or near it, however, it seems too good to be true that they wouldn't have infested my bed. I took it apart, steamed it, washed it with alcohol, put interceptors on the legs, and coverd my mattress. Never found a sign of bed bugs, but I figured they could follow me at the very least. If they're not in my bed, I want to keep it that way. The exterminator is coming this weekend. Is it possible that the interceptors will cut off their feeding and in doing so, isolate the spread to just the couch?
By the advice of my exterminator, I haven't treated my couch with any chemical because I don't want them to disperse, but somehow it feels like the interceptors wouldn't be enough.
