Hi there!
I have a 5-month old daughter and have been scouring the Internet tonight after finding a bug on her blanket when I put her to bed in her crib. I initially thought the worst, since the bug was on her blanket in her crib, but after doing some research, the bug, in my very unstudied opinion, appears to be a carpet beetle larvae, rather than a bed bug. The blanket was with us in another part of the house, and my cat, who sometimes sneaks outside, was laying near the blanket. So, my thought is that the bug was on him and then crawled on the blanket. At least, I'm praying...ha ha. I keep an incredibly clean house, especially beds, and our mattresses, including the crib mattress, are new.
Would someone mind taking a look at the links below and let me know your thoughts on if the bug was indeed a bed bug or a carpet beetle larvae? Please let me know if the photos are not sufficient, and I will be happy to take more. Also, how much should I worry if the bug is a carpet beetle larvae?
