Hi, everyone. I had posted an intro, with a little about myself & also the following about our situation. I thought I would put that here as well [*]for anyone who has lived somewhere were there were multiple people experiencing the same thing.
We've had these creatures for quite some time. Not going to mention how long, at this point. My husband & I have had a difficult past five years. What with health issues & life changing events for both. Which included, various living situations. Where we're at now is a motel. They rent out the studio section long term. There are college kids, migrant workers & mainly singles, couples & families trying to get reestablished. We figured we'd only be here six to nine months. It's been 15. We've been waiting on some funds to be able to move on to something better.
Besides these, we also have roaches. Pretty much everyone here has one or both. The management is pretty lackadaisical about it. They did have an exterminator out awhile back. It was a local company & they were here for the roaches. Though, I asked if it would work on other insects & he said, yes. Obviously, management paid for the cheapest spray possible, because, it didn't do any good.
We spray (EcoSmart) & vacuum daily. Not everything, but, the main areas. We had significantly reduced them. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, they increased again. I read that June to Oct is their most active season. The bed is getting the most of it. I'm, especially, sensitive to the bites & have them all over. Yesterday, as I was sitting in a chair, doing some work, I kept getting little ones all around my ankles. That continued for a few hours. Even though I sprayed & vacuumed.
We're trying to find a good exterminator. It's really the management's responsibility, but, they're not taking it seriously. We're wondering if, only do our unit will be enough, since, the units on either side have them. Plus, many others. We want to eradicate them, before, we move. We don't want them tagging along with us. It's bad enough we have ones attach themselves to us when we go out. We do look over our clothes, inside & out.
