ughinCA on "Husband dried new Protectabed Allerzip encasements on HOT - still useable??"

Please help… My well-meaning but unfortunately sometimes forgetful husband dried our new, fresh from box mattress encasements (Cal king, plus Cal King for box springs, twin) on HOT at the laundromat and then again at home… UGH.
The directions specifically say dry on *medium* (even the tag on the %@!#& thing says it clearly), and I read on the Protect a Bed website that they have to be dried on medium to avoid blistering and thus rendering them useless. :-/
I spent a lot of time and $$ buying these locally at Mancini's. Even with the nice saleslady's 15% discount, they came out to over $350. I read on here that a bad encasement is worse than none at all.
Can we somehow inspect these for blistering and avoid spending another $350-400 again? Or did he basically just burn up our hard-earned money? I'm so frustrated… Please advise.
Thank you!!
