Please help… My well-meaning (but unfortunately sometimes forgetful) husband dried our new, fresh from box mattress encasements (Cal king, plus Cal King for box springs, twin) on HOT at the laundromat and then again at home… UGH.
The directions specifically say dry on *medium* (even the tag on the %@!#& thing says it clearly), and I read on the Protect a Bed website that they have to be dried on medium to avoid blistering, thus rendering them useless. :-/
I spent a lot of time and $$ buying these locally at Mancini's, as they were available immediately. Even with the nice saleslady's 15% discount, they came out to over $350. (I ordered the crib mattress and twin box spring from USbedbugs along with packtite etc. but waiting for these to arrive). I read on here that a bad encasement is worse than none at all.
Can we somehow inspect these for blistering and avoid spending another $350-400 again? Or did he basically just burn up our hard-earned money? I'm so frustrated… Please advise. We can't afford much right now, but don't want to use faulty encasements!
Thank you!!
