I came to this blog and there weren't many stories from people who had rented except that it was very costly and if you do it it probably will work. Well I am here to give you s story about how it didn't work for us "twice". Mind you this blog said to leave with only the shirt off our backs to be successful. We did not do that but I can tell you with 100% confidence we did not bring them back with us. We re-entered our house through the backyard completely naked and went straight in the shower. The clothes got washed at a coin laundry put into clean trash bags and re-washed in scalding hot water and dried for two hours on high heat again before being brought back to the house. We use crocs as shoes and left them out in the boiling California sun for numerous day, and we don't wear shoes in the house anyways. We live in s very hot part of California where the inside of the car heats up to 120 degrees easily when left out and we do not park in the shade. Anyways 7 days after we tented both times my 18 month old son woke with bites. We figure that some left over eggs hatched. We got our money back from the first people who tented out house after a lot of calls. I don't know what to do about the second we will have to try heat and chemical next. I will say when we called around Orkin said they no longer do tenting because it is not successful, and terminix is considering stopping doing it.
