Looking for a little advice and help here.
I reported on this site about 2 weeks ago, when I found a bed bug. A few days later my landlord sent a PCO over, he looked around at the spots I showed him. Confirmed bed bugs.
After that, I went and got mattress encasements, DE and Ortho BB spray. I washed all my clothes and they still remain in bags. I've actually found some success. Finding only dead bugs (2) and otherwise no more bites and no signs of fecal matter.
Just got a call from PCO, he's coming on Wednesday. Wants to have me basically moved out of the apartment. Which I understand to a degree. Having my clothes bagged, and other knick-nacs, cds and vinyl etc put away.
He insisted on the phone that we HAVE TO, absolutely HAVE TO, toss the mattress and box spring. I've had this mattress for a little over a year, and buying a new one really isn't in the financial cards for me. I thought from reading this site that disposing of the mattress isn't necessary with treatment.
Basically, should i be weary of this so-called "PCO"?
