Let me start by saying ive never had bed bugs in my life. I've been living in my apartment since March of 2016. When me and my husband moved in we were desperate, as we were homeless and I was at the time 4 months pregnant. The neighborhood was horrible but the rent was cheap, the apartment also came with no appliances which we thought was odd. But we took it anyways. The Landlord warned us about the apartment having roaches, so we seen a white dust laying everywhere as well as dead roaches. I was terrified but at that point we had no choice. We moved in.
2 weeks later I began getting a rash. Extremely itchy rash I couldn't contain.. Swelled mosquito looking bumps. And immediately I thought of bed bugs. My husband denied and denied and denied until we got into a huge argument and he had the landlord come inspect. (I thought they were required to come with professionals??Maybe I'm wrong) He came in with gloves and a flash light.. Checked out furniture and told me that he hasn't had bed bugs there in 4 years and said if there ever was he'd give us the best money to solve it and left. Just like that.
Now it's June and I'm 7 months pregnant, my baby is coming and I've got solid evidence of bed bugs. Just like I thought, after my bites getting worse, doing my research and seeing blood streaks on my sheets, I stopped being scared one day while my husband was at work, put gloves on and did an inspection my damn self. And sure enough, there it was. One small bed bug in the seem of the mattress. I already could barely lift the mattress and am not supposed to be lifting at all anyways as I was 27-29 weeks pregnant at the time, so I did not lift nor check the box spring.
I took pictures of the evidence and called the landlord. After He took 3 days to respond I had already spent over 100 dollars in mattress covers, alcohol, and Clorox wipes in attempt to help the problem myself. And what got him to respond is that my husband told him we had pictures. Then he called back, quick. He came the next day with the maintainence man.. A heroin addict he allows to live for free in the basement apartment as long as he fixes whatever he tells him to. And constantly knocks at my front door in the early morning hours asking for fucking change. They had a bucket of white dust and a damn paint brush. We walked around the house and put it everywhere, in the box spring, mattress cover, closets, rugs and floor and then stated that WE would be paying a lot of money for this if he didn't have this

Anyways, that was 3-4 days ago. Haven't seen them within that time span until now. Now I'm frustrated because I payed over $20 in laundry to wash and dry EVERY piece of clothing and linen I own and I have a baby coming in 9 weeks. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?! HELP
